London Marathon Day Fundraising Walk #twopointsixchallenge

Well, the lockdown is having a big effect on all charities, with many losing their income streams, be they fundraising events or charity shop sales.  As the London Marathon has been cancelled many charities are taking part in the 2.6 challenge.  I’m not up to running a marathon, so I decided to do a 2.6 mile walk during my lockdown exercise hour.  Well Isabel and Lucy will do the walk and I’ll take the easy option of riding in the backpack 🙂

Thank you to everyone for their support and I’m pleased to say, on a hot sunny Sunday morning. we raised over £100 for the MND Association.

2020 – Fundraising on Hold

Well, it’s been a strange start to 2020.  The coronavirus pandemic has taken over the world and everything is on hold.  We ready and waiting to continue fundraising when the lockdown ends but in the meantime Grandad Bear has a message for everyone:

“I hope you’re keeping to the 2 metre distancing when out and about shopping or exercising and the rest of the time

STAY IN, STAY SAFE AND PROTECT THE NHS ( and enjoy the flowers while you’re at it!)”
