Christmas in London

There’s almost too much to talk about from our amazing Christmas-time trip to London! We really squashed a lot in and took far too many photos. It magical just wandering around looking at all the Christmas lights and decorations, Regent’s Street is my favourite! Grandad and I went to The Lanesborough for a lovely afternoon tea with some very pretty cakes and the most amazing Christmas tree I have ever seen. We do love an afternoon tea – if you have an afternoon tea or a teddy bear’s picnics it would be great to see your photos so #shareyourbear on Facebook and Twitter so I can drool over the yummy cakes!

The nest day we took a trip up the Shard to see the view. At first i thought ‘uh oh’ as it was a bit cloudy but once we reached the top and looked out we were blown away! Don’t worry, not literally! The skyscraper poking out over the top of the mist was probably a better view than if it had been clear. After that we had another delicious afternoon tea (I told you we liked them!) but this time it was inside an old London bus which took us on a tour whilst we ate.

We also managed to fit some sightseeing in and went to Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the National Portrait Gallery. It’s quite a lot for old bears like us, I don’t know how we managed it!

We finished the trip off with an evening performance of the fantastic panto, Cinderella starring Paul O’Grady, Amanda Holden. Julian Clary, Lee Mead, Nigel Havers and Paul Zerdin. It was very funny.

Happy Christmas everyone, love Rosie x

Feeling festive

I love Christmas! Such a fun time where you get to wrap up warm, drink mulled wine, shop for presents, meet friends, play games, go ice skating, eat too much cheese…the list is endless!

I recently popped to Bath for their wondrous Christmas market – if you haven’t been you really should go! Lots of local produce and handmade crafts but I think I left with more for myself than I did as presents, oops!

I have also been to Plymouth recently. It was great to see Smeaton’s Tower (even if it was a bit rainy!) but at least the sun came out for my trip to Choccacino’s on the Barbican for a delicious afternoon tea with friends.

December is getting to be a busy  month and I haven’t even started my adventure properly yet. This weekend, I went to Southampton with Grandad for a lovely meal at the Ovation restaurant before watching the panto at the Mayflower Theatre.

Oh I almost forgot another thing I love about Christmas…all the decorations! Stanley and Dalton tried to help out but I think they were more of a hindrance! At least they were having fun.

Welcome to my blog!

Good morning all and thank you for visiting my brand new blog! I am planning and preparing some very exciting trips for 2017 so please come back regularly to see what exciting things I have been up to!

As well as teddy bear picnics, weekends away, sponsored challenges, trips around the UK, afternoon teas and adventures abroad, I will be taking photos and updating this blog to let you all know how much money we are raising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

All of the money donated goes straight to the MND Association as all the adventures I will be having are self-funded. Please go to justgiving/rosiebear to donate!

Wish me luck!
